WOW: is it still worth starting from scratch?

Asked: WOW: is it still worth starting from scratch?

I've taken a very long break from WOW, even sold my account in the past because I was dedicated to stopping.

However, I mis mmorpg's and tried GW2. It is very awsome but is still not to the level of WOW in terms of pets for hunters or things to do…

I want to start again, but feel like most ppl on WOW are already totally ahead. I don't have THAT much time to always get the newest gear, just want to do casual raids for fun when I have the time. Now I have this huge grinding ahead of me again with my hunter, and somehow I feel like it's not worth it?

I've tried runescape,maplestory,GW2, wizard101 etc… all the best mmorpg, but wizard101 became sooo repetitive with all the same spells all the time and same battles, GW2 as to content, and maplestory is so confusing I never know where to level next or what to do next and walkthroughs aren't as available…

So can anyone help a poor gamer out?

Why is TERA Online going Free to Play and why was GW2 Free to Play in the first place?

Asked: Why is TERA Online going Free to Play and why was GW2 Free to Play in the first place?

I have always heard that TERA Online was very expensive for people to play, but when people say that TERA Online is dead and that it has no endgame content that is NOT TRUE AT ALL!!! First off, the first raid in TERA Online called the Nexus was released early November of last year! Bams, which are quests specifically for high level characters I.E. level 60, have been in TERA since day 1. There are several regions (zones) strictly for level 60 characters with plenty of Bams and dungeons within them! So I really don't understand why TERA Online is going free to play!

As for GW2, why was that free to play in the first place? Did the develeopers do that to get an extra truck load of subscribers? Also, don't most people view MMOs going F2P as a bad thing? Fact remains is why do I keep hearing about MMOs going F2P as if it is the worst thing that could possibly happen to them when GW2 was F2P from the very beggining! Hell, RIFT is still Pay to Play and it is doing the worst out of all 3 (Guild Wars 2, TERA Online and RIFT), so why hasn't that game gone F2P hmm???

If someone can give me a legitimate answer WITHOUT saying something like "TERA SUCKS THATS WHY!" or "GUILD WARS 2 IS THE BEST THATS WHY!", then I will be glad!

PLEASE READ THE ENTIRE QUESTION!!! I HAVE NO TIME FOR TROLLS!!!

Undecided Question: will guild wars 2 have end game?

Asked: Undecided Question: will guild wars 2 have end game?

the pvp was nothing but zerg rushes and the dynamic events got boring is this a game where you reach 80 then quit? It did not have the communications that dungeons and wow had basically dpsed the boss down there where no tactics like bosses and wow had. The beta really made me thank that this could be another the old republic where people quit because after the end level there was no more progression that games like rift and wow had. wvwvw was fun but only when you where attacking or defending a fort which was 5% of it the other 95% was zerg rushing. Will this game have 2v2 and 3v3 to me that is where the pvp would shine and you would have to use skill. Am i missing something games that have no end game usually die after one month like guild wars 1 where only a few hard cores stayed for the long hall. You may say wow is a treadmill at end game but i dissagree every raid even level 60 raids required a coordinated team and tactics or you would DIE.in guild wars 2 you have 60 people not communicating just dpsing the mob down. I loved gaining gear and working toward new raids on wow. So does anyone know about end game on guild wars 2 i was very un nerved by the beta and the developer basically said the game ends at 80.

Skyrim Paladin Discussion?

Will Douglas Asked: Skyrim Paladin Discussion?

Yes I have a paladin on Skyrim because I enjoyed pally on WOW and Rift and would like to see if anyone else has a pally. I have a 1 hand mace and shield build and a 2 hand build for more damage on mainly single targets and working on my gear.

Should i give rift another chance?

James Lippett Asked: Should i give rift another chance?

I bought it in the steam summer sales, bought one month, got to like level 10 and got to what i'd think to be the main city place, didn't really know what to do from there so ended up stopping. I played WoW from 1-85 with a few characters so i can't help but compare, it just seems like theres not much to do in comparison (but then i know like nothing about it, level 10 >.<) so, any reasons why i should give this another go? & where should i go from there pahaha.

What are the different MMORPG genres?

James Asked: What are the different MMORPG genres?

By that I don't mean Action MMO Rpg's (Vindictus, DC Universe Online, Champions), RTS MMORPGS (End of nations) or other stuff that goes in to categories such as racing, shooting, card games (I know, weak), and others.
I'm talking about the difference of MMO's, the difference of WOW which is a fairly linear MMO, by that I mean its not a free form MMO where you can make your own villages, governments, wars and such, and Ultima, Mortal Online, and other games that I would like to say are a bit more "sandbox" MMOs than something like WOW, Rift, or AION. How do you classify those that are sandbox, such as shaping the world, making governments, wars, villages, to those that are mostly take quests, do raids, keep going til you level up through a linear progression of towns and cities, where you don't have much impact on the world. How do you classify those? Personally I'm into more freeform MMO's, as it feels more like your making your own story and actually doing something to the world, not like WOW where at the end of the day you didn't really do much and you don't affect anything. That isn't a bashing at WOW, but still, how do you classify them?
